Nursery school represents the first contact of children with school. The children start to learn by playing so that they begin the socializing process. Therefore, this space is of vital importance and Jado Ikastetxea take care of it.
Our teaching method prioritizes the Basque language in the communication, and it is based on personalized attention which takes into account the starting point and the evolutionary pace of every children to promote a balanced development of their physical, emotional, social and intellectual capacities.
September– July 30
9:00 – 9:30: Flexible entry time (2 year old).
9:00 – 10:00: Flexible entry time (1 year old).
12:50: the end of the school.
12:30 – 15:00: Dining Room and nap.
15:00 – 16:50: Flexible end of the school.
It is also open on Christmas and Easter Week.
Children must come to school dressed in comfortable clothes that do not limit their movements and that allow them independence; please avoid straps, dungarees, belts and lace-up shoes.
All clothes and belongings should be marked with the child’s name and surname.
Children must not be given food or afternoon (tea-time) snacks in the hallway.
Pushchairs should be lined up in an orderly way in the hall.
Please do not dump rubbish from the playground (scraps of food, nappies) outside school hours when the bins are full.
The school toilets may not be used outside school hours. In an emergency, the toilets opposite the dinner hall may be used.
Families must keep to the school timetable so as not to disrupt activities.
Regular attendance in class is fundamental for adapting well and achieving good results.

If a different person from usual has to collect a child, the teacher must be informed via a note with the name and surname of the person who will come to get them.
Please avoid sending more than one person to collect the children.
The timetable for the adaptation period will be different (families will be informed in a meeting). Parents may not enter the classroom.
Children must bring a bib with an elastic band marked with their name, or identification to prevent it being swapped or lost.
